Log in to your Modem Pay dashboard
Head to modempay.com and log in to your merchant account.
Click on “Payment Links” in the sidebar
This is where all your links will live.
Click “New Payment Link.”
You’ll be prompted to choose a link type:
- One-Time Payment
- Donations
- Subscription

For this guide, we’re selecting One-Time Payment.

Set the Title and Description
This is what your customer sees. Make it clear and relevant.
Example: “Pay for your school uniform”
Enter the amount (or leave it blank)
- Enter a fixed amount if you're charging for a specific service.
- Leave it blank to allow the customer to enter any amount they want (useful for donations or flexible pricing).

⚙️ Advanced Settings (Optional but Powerful)

Modem Pay gives you full control with these extras:

Redirect URL
Want to send users to your website or WhatsApp after payment? Just paste your URL here.
Minimum Payable Amount
If you allow flexible payments but want to enforce a minimum (e.g., D50), enter it here.
Custom Fields
Want to collect extra info? Add fields like:
- Name
- Email
- Student ID
- Address

Notification Channels
Want multiple people notified when a payment happens?
Enter their emails here. You’ll receive real-time alerts. (Note: Email is the only supported channel for now.)
